Did two shows this last week for Stand Up Bergen, and they printed this to promote the gigs. I sound crabby, but am just trying to match the highly caffeinated honesty of the Vikings. Enjoy and see you soon in SF at the Punchline, September 22-24.

Intervju med Scott Capurro
Scott Capurro(US) har reist over hele verden og gjort standup.
What happened to your movie carrier?
– I GOT OLD
You was one your way with a smashing start in Mrs. Doubtfire and you was even a voice in a Star Wars movie and game.
– ACTUALLY I STARTED SPENDING LOTS OF TIME IN THE UK AND AUSTRALIA AND WAS AWAY FROM LA FOR TOO LONG.
You’re known for your pitch black humour. Ever gotten in trouble?
– YES, I HAD TO PUNCH AN AUDIENCE MEMBER IN THE HEAD, BUT SHE WAS REALLY ANGRY.
Or what’s the worst trouble it has gotten you into?
– I WAS BANNED FROM AUSTRALIA FOR JACKING OFF TO JESUS ON CHILDREN’S TV.
Ever gotten out of trouble with your comedy?
– THE POLICE FORCES LIKE ME CUZ I CAN BE BRUTAL. AND CAMP.
You do a lot of stand up in Europe. Do you get to watch a lot of stand up and what is the biggest differendce you think?
– THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS LANGUAGE, MOSTLY. SOME COUNTRIES, LIKE NORWAY AND SLOVENIA, SEEM TO NOT LIKE HAVING RELIGIOUS BELIEFS SATIRISED. SO I SEEK NUANCE, WHICH IS PART OF THE CHALLENGE.
Is there any place you wouldn’t go for a laugh?
– MY DAD. HE’S TOUGH.
Are you worried that Trump is gonna win?
– WORRIED BUT ALSO EXCITED BY THE POTENTIAL FOR MATERIAL.
Do you do corporate gigs?
– I DID, BUT THEY’VE DECREASE SINCE 2008. FOR ME AT LEAST.
Are you ever gonna quit?
– IT’S CALLED A HIATUS IN MY BIZ, AND NO.
Live of the Doubtfire money?
– OH YEAH I’M SWIMMING’ IN IT. ACTUALLY ROBIN WAS QUITE GENEROUS.
What was your dream job growing up?
– TEACHING.
Any favorite comics when you where younger?
– LENNY BRUCE AND CAROL BURNETT. WOODY ALLEN TOO, AS AN ADOLESCENT.
Anyone inspiring you to do this?
– MY GRANDMOTHER HOPED I’D BE A PRIEST, SO I SUPPOSE MY PRIEST, WHO HOPED I’D BE A VESSEL.
What would you be if you weren’t a comic?
– MOROSE*
* Vi måtte google det siste ordet og det betyr en som ikke er lykkelig. En missfornøyd fyr.
